Shaman PvP Guide - Need Help Playing Your Shaman In WoW?

Got yourself lost in the many spells and abilities a Shaman has? Want to PvP but don't know how to do it right? A Shaman PvP guide can always give you the strategies and tactics you need to make a stand in PvP battles. In this article you will find some basic gameplay tips you need if you are having trouble with your Shaman.

Shamans can do very well in PvE. Because they have heals and damage they can get instance groups pretty easy. They can also put down a large variety of totems which makes them ideal for killing some tough mobs. When it comes to PvP, you have to know what to do and when. A Shaman PvP guide can show you how to play your class in every type of group you might get into and it will also show you how to solo successfully. Besides that, you will find out what talent specs you can train to be the most effective and what gear you need. The thing about Shamans is that they can train in several way, depending on their fighting style.

When leveling up, you should spec in Enhancement. Using this spec you will have little to no downtime. The important spells and abilities would be Windfury Weapon, dual wielding, Stormstrike, Lava Lash and at higher levels Maelstrom Weapon allowing you regular instant heals further improving your leveling routine. A lot of people get very impressed by this spec in PvE, so impressed that they keep in PvP. Shamans have a lot of damage output through this spec, but you have to get within melee range of your target which is not really recommended. For PvP it's best to make a hybrid with a larger accent on Elemental and Enhacement specs. To make things easier, you could always use a Shaman PvP guide, that way you will see many other specs along with tactics on how to use them properly.

The basics of playing a Shaman in PvP

In PvP the Shaman can do a lot of stuff. From healing his team mates to dealing damage, sometimes both. He can drop totems on the ground which are perfect for mass PvP battles. He also has totems that can heal your team mates or dispel negative effects from them. The role of a Shaman depends on his talent build. If you are specced for healing, then stand back and heal, I've seen Resto Shamans trying to deal damage when they should be healing. I also saw Elemental Shamans staying in the back and trying to heal. I think people like that are very confused, they are trying to do everything and end up doing nothing. That's where a Shaman PvP guide can come in handy, it will tell you what you need to do with the spec you choose. If you can't find your spec in such a guide it's probably because you trained wrong.

How to play a Shaman in Battlegrounds

In BGs, the Shaman should always be around the team or around someone taking over an objective. In any spec you choose, you should have the Improved Healing Wave for better healing for either yourself or your team. If you are full Resto specced or close to it, you can take a lot of melee damage. So you are the one who should go for enemy flags in BGs such as Warsong Gulch and Eye of the Storm. You can also morph into a Wolf and get more speed. Even if you don't get the flag, you should always be around the one who does for support. I think that any Shaman PvP guide will tell you this, you need to get used to the idea that your role is to support/interrupt. Doing anything else will result in you dying.

How to play a Shaman in Arena

In arena it's all about skill. As a Shaman you have to first learn how to kite your aggressors. Mastering this you can hold your team alive for larger periods of time. In arena it is very important to master the totems. If you plant too many and in the wrong order, you will run out of mana and become pretty much useless. A Shaman PvP guide will teach you what totems to use against every class and in what order to set them. This class has a totem for almost every class, so he can be very effective. Not to mention spells like Reverberation which can disrupt enemy casters.

Such a class can be very versatile and complex. That's why by using a Shaman PvP guide you will be able to master it and make the most of it in PvP. The most important thing to remember is that you should play with the talent build you feel more comfortable in.
